Folio 127: Guinand to [? Rochford]. He comments on the French approach to financial negotiations. They had justice on their side in the case of Chabert. Vialars has right on his side but France may only admit some of his claims, as an act of grace. The conversion of the Canada paper reconnaissances into contract stocks leave England poorer, permit France to make rules about British property and be contrary to the convention. He lists French objections and his arguments against them.
