Folio 39: Porten to Shelburne. Choiseul promised to visit Rochford. Choiseul said that all France was doing in Corsica was assisting Genoa to recover her own possessions. The convention would soon be published. Britain, he believed, had recently sent troops to America. France was justified in taking her own precautions.
