Folio 212: Desmaretz and Frazer to Shelburne. They report now that the stormy period of weather is over. The cuts at Dunkirk have made no difference to the flow of waters from the countryside but the harbour becomes daily more restricted for navigation and the pilots have been ordered not to take charge of any vessel drawing more than 11ft. French or nearly 11ft. 9 inches English measure.
