Genoa has definitely offered Corsica to France on condition that France guarantees to protect her trade from the Barbary pirates, guarantees her dominions and pays a sum of money. Frane's counter proposal is to send 20 battalions to Corsica to master it for Genoa and to receive all its revenue. If Genoa wanted it back, she would pay an agreed sum. The result is awaited. Mercy notified the marriage by proxy of an archduchess with the king of Naples.
