Folio 172: Memorial from Rybot to Shelburne. Chabert left England in 1765, leaving Rybot power of attorney to dispose of certificates left with his brother in Paris. He sold them in 1766 to Aron Franks, paying the proceeds to Joncaire Chabert. Chabert's brother brought proofs of the validity of the certificates and denied that the signatures were forgeries. Rybot claims that in any case the certificates are valid without the signatures.
