Folio 68: Rochford to Shelburne. The king has issued letters patent exempting from the droit d'aubaine the subjects of 4 German principalities, of the bishopric of Strassburg and of the town of Frankfurt. He encloses f.70, showing what the Parlement thinks of the papal Bull [see f.65] and refers to the need to remind Britons, who come to France, of the new passport regulation. The papal nuncio in Madrid has died after the stress of a meeting about the papal Bull.
