Folio 288: Rochford to Shelburne. Choiseul gave an explanation of an incident at Fort Moro, Havana, where British ships were fired on and French ships were shown partiality contrary to the Treaty of Utrecht. Rochford refers to proceedings against the late intendantof Cayenne, in which the Parliment alleged irregularities by the king. The Venetian ambassador is curious to know, if Britain is to make a treaty of commerce with the [Venetian] republic.
