Folio 212: Rochford to Shelburne. The queen is dangerously ill. There is to be a free port at Versoy on lake Geneva and religious toleration admitted. There is talk of religious toleration being admitted at 4 trading towns at the extremities of France. It is strange that the archbishop of Rheims and the clergy are said to favour this, while the Parlement will oppose it.
Date and place: 1767 Nov 19 Paris.
