Folio 83: Decree by the Conseil d'Etat. It encourages traders, who import dried cod, caught by French fishing boats, into the Windward islands, laying down regulations in 7 articles. The orders are issued by the duc de Penthièvre. There follow models of declarations to be made to the authorities, where the fish are unloaded.
Date and place: 1767 July 31 Compiègne.
