Folio 136: Shelburne to Rochford. The Canada liquidation is nearly completed. He encloses list of claims admitted without difficulty [f.139]. Of those refused only one is of special importance, that of mr Vialars, accused of swearing a false oath in Paris. Vialars is also acting for some deserving claimants. He asks Rochford to obtain copies of the annual trade returns for some years past, particularly of sugar, and for the last 16 years of French imports from Bengal and Coromandel.
