Folio 118: Private advice [? to Richmond]. Praslin, now minister of marine, is to visit Rochefort and Brest. Du Bruc, chief administrator under Choiseul is likely to lose his post. Money is to be sent to governor Henry to fortify Martinique. Bouganville has tried to sell the Falkland islands to Spain. Spain has refused but they may be ceded to her with conditions. Experienced officers, possibly Bouganville and Dumas, will be appointed to administer the Isles de France et de Bourbon. Turgot and Chauvallon are to be investigated about Cayenne. Troubles continue in Brittany. Honfleur harbour is being enlarged. Monsieur de Rohan succeeds D'Estaing in St. Domingo. The controller general is to raise money by renewing the leasing of lands. 3,000 men may be sent to Corsica.
