Folio 65: Richmond to Lennox. Encloses ff.73, 79 about disputes in Newfoundland. Guerchy has raised questions about St. Pierre and Miquelon, Belle-Isle and the storage of salt. Richmond expounds the British standpoint, referring to the Treaties of Utrecht and Paris. The committee of Canada merchants is sending mr David Lauzun to receive the 2,500,000 livres as reconnaissances for the Canada bills [f.82 enclosed]. Encloses letters to the French king and queen.
