Folio 9: Conway to Lennox. He awaits France's reply to Hume's demand for payment of maintenance of French prisoners of war in Hanover [see SP 78/268, ff.88, 89]. Mediation by force may become necessary in Geneva. It must come from Zürich and Bern. If France sendstroops, she may be unwilling to withdraw them. Reference to the Mediation of 1738 and to SP 78/269, f.260.
