He explains why he wrote to his brother about the children detained in convents [see SP 78/269, f.322]. They will soon be released. Choiseul regretted the delay caused by the clergy of Bordeaux. 30,000 French troops are reported to be going to Perpignan, in case they are needed in Spain. Riots in Saragossa.
