Folio 132: Richmond to Conway. Reports on recruiting for the French army. There is now no militia in France [see f.17]. He asks for guidance about the delivery of letters of notification of the deaths of Cumberland and prince Frederick to the princes of the blood. He followed the practice of other ambassadors and sent them through secretaries but the prince de Conti returned them with the enclosed letter [f.137].
