Folio 221: Conway to Richmond. He hopes that Richmond is back from Aubigny, as negotiations with France are in a critical situation. The French request for an exact account of the Canada bills [f.205] is not a quibble but an open refusal of justice. Conway enlargeson this, enclosing f.225. The merchants are concerned [f.227 enclosed] and Parliament must discuss the matter. Richmond is to bring the matter to a final settlement. Comments on Dunkirk.
