Folio 216: Conway to Richmond. Encloses copies of letters from general Gage, lt. governor Colden and minutes of the council of New York. Reports from New Jersey state that the violences are confined to the northern provinces. Parliament will discuss what should be done. The matter is serious but not alarming. He awaits a reply from the attorney general before sending the formal guarantee of reciprocity concerning the release of the British children [see ff.66, 84, 168]. Encloses copy of f.207.
