Folio 7: Hume [secretary to the embassy] to Conway. Encloses f.9 and reports discussion with Praslin [minister of foreign affairs] about the Canada bills. Encloses f.11 and refers to the law-suit of Huske [John Huske M.P.], [see SP 78/267, f.221]. The assembly ofthe clergy has voted its free gift and been prorogued until May. The dauphin is better but still dangerously ill. The king is about to leave for Fontainebleau.
