Folio 217: Memorial from the committee of the proprietors or holders of the Canada bills delivered to Conway. Its proposals are: 1) to accept 50% of the full amount of the bills of exchange; 2) to accept 25% of the full amount of all ordonnances and cards. They specify certain conditions and ask Conway to obtain at best £150,000 sterling, at worst £100,000. In a postscript they reduce these figures to £120,000 and £80,000. Appended is an account showing the sacrifice made by this second offer. With signatures of members.
