Folio 197: Conway to Hume. Britain insists on the complete demolition of the jetties at Dunkirk, unless there is absolutely no other way to avoid flooding and damage to the health of the inhabitants than to build them up. Britain will send engineers to study the situation. He includes an extract from his letter to Guerchy. Delays can only be interpreted as a deliberate readiness not to observe the Treaty of 1717.
