Folio 185: Hume to Conway. Praslin wished to halt the demolition of the jetties until the British engineers arrived. He said the opening up of the Mardyke would take a long time and the demolition of the jetties should only be on a trial basis. Praslin was reluctant to discuss the Canada bills and argued about the interpretation of the Treaty of Commerce as affecting Britons in France. Encloses f.189 and the King of France's answer to [? f.131]. The Dauphin is still in poor health. The Queen is in Lorraine.
