Folio 76: Hertford to Halifax. Encloses ff.78, 80. The Prince de Conti has moved a resolution passed in the Parlement of Paris. It arose from a dispute about the conduct of the Parlement of Toulouse about its action against the Duc de Fitzjames. Paris claimed to be the sole House of Peers. The provincial Parlements opposed this. Hertford comments on the vagueness of the laws of France.
