Folio 46: Halifax to Hertford. Encloses papers about the ship Wheel of Fortune confiscated at Martinique [ff.49, 51, 53, 55. See also SP 78/263, f.171]. Complains about d'Estaing's conduct in trying to persuade Acadians to settle in Hispaniola [d'Estaing's orders enclosed but missing here]. Hertford is to urge d'Estaing's unfitness to hold his post.
