Folio 65: Hertford to Halifax. France and Prussia may exchange ministers, fearing that the alliance between Austria and Bavaria may upset the balance of power. The King has sent an edict to be registered by the Assembly of Peers in the Parlement banishing the Jesuits from France but permitting individuals to return. The Parlement added an annex with conditions for those returning, including a ban on coming within 10 leagues of Paris. The King has restored to the East India company the islands of Bourbon and La France and the town of Port L'Orient.
