Folio 146: Guerchy to Halifax. The King of France empowers him to accept the apologies made to him on this occasion (the Chazell incident) but he is instructed to press for an Act of Parliament to bring privileges granted to ambassadors in Britain into line with the law of nations [see f.138]. Encloses copy of the magistrate's apology [f.149].
