Folio 319: Hertford to Halifax. Encloses ff.321, 323, 327, 330 and asks for instructions about the maintenance payment for Prussian prisoners of war. Praslin argues that the Prussian troops were part of Ferdinand's army. He refers to the convention of Magdeburg of Sept. 9, 1759, committing Prussia to ransom her prisoners, even though there was no declaration of war between Prussia and France. France is sending troops to Corsica. Genoa is nervous.
