Folio 57: Egremont to Bedford. Encloses the ratification of the Act of Acceptance to be exchanged with Portugal's ratification of her accession to the Preliminary Articles, also a packet from Mello for the Conde d'Oeyras. Also encloses Mello's Acts of Accession tobe delivered by Bedford to Praslin and Grimaldi. He will send their Acts of Accession to Hay (envoy in Lisbon). Encloses letter from Mello, who waits for France to appoint minister to Portugal before leaving for France. Encloses 50 passports [see f.50]. Drafts of Articles for Definitive Treaty will be sent soon.
