Folio 108: Pitt to Stanley. Approves his talks with Choiseul. Bussy equivocates and has demanded the restoration of Belle-Isle without conditions or compensation. He refers to enclosure [? f.105] containing British conditions about dates and compensation. Consent is given to the requests in ff.90 and 95 but not to those in ff.92, 93, 97 and 99. Encloses copy of the capitulation of the citadel of Palais [Le Palais, Belle-Isle]. He may spend a reasonable sum on implementing article 9 of f.37.
Date and place: 1761 June 19 Whitehall.
