Folio 156: Note delivered to Mirepoix. Britain urgently seeks a durable peace. The French proposal in f.152 only aims at an armistice. The Counter project [f.116] states British rights in accordance with treaties but Britain has departed from them in some respects in the cause of peace. She had hoped France would state her specific objections to the Counter-project.
