Folio 209: Albemarle to Holdernesse. St. Contest wishes to settle all outstanding differences and the dispute between Britain and Prussia. British position on it was unchanged. St. Contest is reported as hinting that the Empire was looking for an opportunity for a sudden stroke against Prussia. Comte de Noailles reported to be on private mission to Sardinia on behalf of the King and Maréchal de Noailles.
