Folio 157: Albemarle to Holdernesse. Monzone has gone to Modena, possibly to act on behalf of the Duchess of Modena and in order to further French influence with the Duke. Duras is likely to be recalled from Spain, being involved financially with Girardon, a Cadiz merchant. Ossun is likely to succeed him. Frequent visits to St. Contest by the Venetian Ambassador suggest some alliance, because of the treaty between the Empire and Modena. The Marquis de Botta d'Adorno has left. Lord Stormont has made a good impression. Encloses two resolutions [ff. 161, 163] in response to f.121. The Court of Châtelet has registered the letters patent for the new Chambre des Vacations.
