Folio 302: Holdernesse to Albemarle. He encloses a copy of a letter to the Commissaries. They are not to treat over any prizes taken before the declaration of war. A list of prizes processed by the courts has been sent [see SP 78/239/ff.185, 189]. If pressed to accept a list of prizes, which they may not consider, the Commissaries are to insist on compensation for the maintenance of French seamen prisoners of war. He refers to a separate commission for soldier prisoners of war and encloses a copy of a letter to Mildmay [SP 78/239/f.183].
