Folio 284: Albemarle to Newcastle. Mirepoix is due soon. Albemarle and the Commissaries await orders. The Keeper of the Seals has conferred with Cardinal de la Rochefoucauld. The clergy will pay the King a sum of money to be called a `don gratuit' rather than vingtième. The King is short of money. Grimaldi is close to Vergennes.
Date and place: 1752 July 11/22 Compiègne.
