Folio 230: Albemarle to Newcastle. He will see St. Contest at Compiègne. He has no evidence of a French army `of demonstration', in case the election should be decided by a majority vote. He has told Mirepoix, in confidence, of his concern at the difference betweenthe statements of St. Contest and Vergennes. Mirepoix, who will speak to Chavigny, is going to Lorraine.
Date and place: 1752 June 25/July 6 Paris.
