Folio 207: Albemarle to Newcastle. St. Contest awaits the reaction of the Empire to the claims of the Palatinate. He genuinely wants a settlement based on unanimity. Lack of money rules out any aggressive action by France, in spite of Prussian influence. St. Contest has never mentioned Burgau [see f.173]. The King goes to Compiègne.
