Folio 151: Albemarle to Newcastle. He has informed St. Contest that, unless the Elector Palatine's claims are confined to Pleysting [Pleystein] and compensation for Falkenstein, the King will leave negotiations to the Empire and the Elector. St. Contest has tried to explain away the word `mediator'. Encloses packet from Keene [missing here] and a copy of the King's reply to Parliament [f.161].
