Folio 86: Albemarle to Newcastle. St. Contest claims to have a note of a meeting between Wrede and Burrish, indicating that Burrish accepted the Palatine claims for payments from Britain and Holland [see f.52]. The Empire must make its intentions known. He pressesfor the Louisbourg payment. Albemarle reports that the King will favour the clergy against Parliament, being opposed to Jansenism. Encloses report from Brest [f.93]. Kaunitz is said to have shown indifference to the election [of the King of the Romans] to Puyzieulx, when he was Foreign Minister [see f.91].
