Folio 188: Albemarle to Newcastle. St. Contest rejects his proposal to expedite the settlement of differences at ambassadorial level. He said that the Commissaries could do this, as soon as Britain answered the French memorials on Nova Scotia and St. Lucia. St. Contest might print the one on Nova Scotia. He reports on a launching at Rochefort and the dispatch of troops to Pondicherry. Scheffer is reluctant to return to Sweden to become a Senator. His recall would displease Prussia.
