Folio 137: Yorke to Holdernesse. He has protested to St. Contest at treatment of British merchants settled in Bordeaux, contrary to the Treaty of Commerce of Utrecht. Monsieur de Paulmy d'Argenson has been appointed from Switzerland to be second to his uncle at theWar Ministry. A committee of the Council, with two French Commissaries, has drawn up a memorial on the ancient limits of Nova Scotia, corrected by Noailles [see SP 78/239/f.133]. It will be presented in English and thereafter may be printed, to convince all Europe of the justice of the French case.
