Folio 104: Yorke to Holdernesse. He has seen Puyzieulx, who is to remain on the Council (of State), and St. Contest together. Yorke had raised the issue of Lord Marshal. Puyzieulx, though cool, had appeared to regret the appointment. He had expected Podewils. But no favour would be shown to Jacobites. Britain was too suspicious of Prussia. Mirepoix has been made a Duke. The Swedish Minister (Scheffer) is taking Marshal under his wing, but Yorke will not receive him.
Date and place: 1751 Sept 4/15 Paris.
