Folio 67: Bedford to Albemarle. Encloses reports from West Indies [ff.69, 71, 73], casting doubts on Bompar's intentions towards evacuation of St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Dominica; Tobago having been evacuated under the treaty between the governors of Barbados and Martinique. He thinks the Galathea may have involved herself deliberately with Grenville, in order to give Caylus an excuse for delay in obeying his orders [see SP 78/238/f.33].
