Folio 197: Bedford to Commissaries. Enclosing copy of SP 78/237/f. 82 [not now attached]. He favours exchanges in writing, agrees to treating over prizes taken outside disputed limits, but priority must be given to Nova Scotia and St. Lucia. The Lords Justices holdthat the Commissaries must settle the limits of the Channel and Northern Seas themselves.
