Description

Folio 178: Albemarle to Bedford. All is amusement at Court. The clergy seem likely to carry their point. The Chancellor is dying. Since d'Argenson seeks a dukedom, the Comptroller General is likely to succeed him and Trudaine to become Comptroller General. The Kingis to review the Grenadiers. Naval intelligence enclosed. Endorsed to be laid before the Lords Justices.

Date and place: 1750 June 20/July 1 Compiègne.
