Folio 114: [Bedford] to Commissaries. French proposals to treat over prizes taken before the war and not over those taken in the Channel and Northern seas or already tried in French Courts are not acceptable - nor Guillot's resolve only to settle in France's favour. Britain wishes to treat over all prizes taken since the end of hostilities. The limits proposed by the British [see ff. 25 and 26], are approved: also the plan to refer all claims to each government [see f. 29]. Reference to the Snow Boss.
