Folio 43: Commissaries to Bedford. Enclosing claims on behalf of four French ships, Zephir, Concorde, Maréchal de Saxe and L'Industrie, captured en route from Leogane to Nantes, taken to New York and released by Clinton. Also enclosed a claim for the Jacques Genevieve, seized en route from Cap Français to France and taken to Philadelphia. [Extracts of this were later sent to Clinton and Lt. Governor Thomas].
Date and place: 1749 May 13/24 St Malo.
