Folio 114: Yorke to Bedford. Puyzieulx denies any grant to Saxe in America, but cites Treaty of Nijmegen in reply to British claim to Tobago. Incident in which Caylus had stopped a ship dispatched by the Governor of Barbados to St. Lucia and St Vincent. Encloses a letter from de Froulay, Maltese ambassador to France [not now enclosed] and a pamphlet about the Dixième being distributed in Paris. Refers to disturbances in Bordeaux and the British withdrawal from Pondicherry.
