Folio 231: Newcastle to Thompson. Since the French reply to the British Note requesting the expulsion of Charles Stuart was `injurious and offensive', and in view of the preparations for invasion at Dunkirk, Thompson is to return to England at once without taking formal leave; he can draw bills to pay his outstanding debts.
