Hopes his courier got through; Elizabeth Farnese furious at believed French perfidy in abandoning the Spanish fleet; reports of accidental drowning of a number of men at Dunkirk when they tried to embark; appointments indicate possibility of a French offensive into the Austrian Netherlands; French hope Holland will remain neutral; Holland has provided small contingent to Britain as required by treaty; named Jacobites at Dunkirk.
