Folio 216: Thompson to Newcastle. All or most of the Jacobites have left Paris and several [named] have gone to England; Charles Stuart somewhere near the coast in France; Russian and Swedish troops may join the invasion force; Jacobites dismayed at news of destruction of the Spanish fleet by Mathews, while the French warships apparently stood idly by; recommends that Salkeld be watched rather than arrested so that his accomplices may be caught; Sicilian Abbot worried that no arrangements for communication have been made in the event of Thompson leaving France.
