Description

Folio 156: Extract from a letter by an anonymous writer given to Thompson by Von Loss, the Saxon ambassador. [Charles Stuart] has travelled incognito from Rome to France with the help of various Vatican prelates, including Cardinal Tencin; he may later be conveyed by the French fleet at Brest to Britain.
